Can digital technologies transform menstrual health education?
Here at The Hood, we believe digital technologies can play an important role in enhancing education and awareness with regards to menstrual and hormonal health.
The response to our journals has been overwhelming and especially from young women who seek to learn more about their bodies. We are keen to see what immersive and innovative experiences we can develop in this area and we are kicking off this work in collaboration with Sabiha Naz Aziz as part of her Digital Media Degree from the University of Roehampton.
With experience in UX, Photography and visual design, Sabiha is a proud mother of two and when not studying, works as a learning and development consultant in the NHS and also as the gender equality officer at the University’s Students’ Union.
As part of her final year research project, Sabiha is exploring the use of digital technologies as an educational aid. Using our Girlhood Journal as the stimulus for her work, Sabiha will aim to design an interactive experience that will greater enhance its content.
If you would like to contribute to this research, please fill out this survey which will be used as part of the design methodology.
